Midsize Jet Charter in Beech Grove
A midsize jet gives a group of six to nine passengers a quieter cabin, an enclosed lavatory and the range to cross much of the country without a fuel stop. We explain what that means for your trip, then give you one all-inclusive quote.
What a midsize jet is, and when it makes sense
Midsize jets sit between light jets and super-midsize aircraft. Typical models seat seven to nine passengers in club seating, carry luggage in a heated or accessible baggage area and fly roughly four to five hours nonstop. Many have a cabin tall enough to walk through with only a slight stoop, and almost all have a private lavatory with a door.
That combination is the reason people choose one. A light jet is often fine for a two-hour hop with four people. Once the group grows, the bags include golf clubs or sample cases, or the flight runs past three hours, a midsize cabin is usually the more comfortable and practical choice. If you need full stand-up headroom or true coast-to-coast range, we will tell you plainly that a super-midsize jet fits better.
What comes with a midsize charter
A jet chosen for your trip
We weigh passengers, luggage, distance and the runways on both ends, then recommend specific aircraft. You learn why each one suits the trip, not only what it is called.
A checked operator
FAA-certified Part 135 air carriers operate the flights. They follow the federal rules made for on demand charter, covering crew training, duty limits and maintenance.
A two-pilot crew and a set route
A captain and a first officer fly every midsize jet. Before you get there, they file the flight plan, review the weather and line up fuel.
A single all-inclusive price
The figure we quote already covers fuel, crew, landing and FBO fees and federal taxes. No hidden costs are added once the flight is done.
Onboard comfort
Request WIFI equipped aircraft if you want to work while flying. Pets can come, and we check the operator's requirements for your animal ahead of departure.
When a midsize jet is the right size
Six or more are flying
Beyond five passengers a light jet feels tight. In a midsize cabin everyone sits facing one another with space to stretch out.
The trip is longer than three hours
On a long leg, a lavatory with a door and a cabin with room to move count for more than they look on a spec sheet.
You have serious luggage
Golf clubs, ski bags, trade show cases or a family's bags for a week often go beyond a light jet's capacity.
You would rather not stop for fuel
A midsize jet usually flies nonstop from central Indiana to the Rockies, the Gulf Coast or the Northeast.
The date is important
For a board meeting, a site visit or a tight family plan, you want a jet that covers the full route quietly and on your schedule.
How booking and flight day work
- 1
A call about your trip
Let us know the destination, timing, passenger count and luggage. We lay out the choices in everyday words and answer any questions you have about the aircraft.
- 2
Your price and the aircraft
You get an all-inclusive number that names the aircraft type, the operator and the departure FBO. With point to point pricing, a one-way flight is priced as one way.
- 3
Confirming and sharing preferences
When you confirm, we send your catering requests, pet information and ground transport needs to the crew ahead of time.
- 4
Leaving from the FBO
Reach the private terminal about 15 to 20 minutes early and walk out to the jet. Your bags are loaded for you, and the crew gives a briefing before the engines start.
Where a midsize charter price comes from
Flight time sets most of a midsize price, so the route and the aircraft account for the bulk of it. Every other charge is listed on the quote where you can see it. A one-way flight is never billed at round trip pricing.
- Hours flown
- The distance, the winds and how fast the particular model cruises decide the billed hours. Older and newer midsize jets also use fuel at different rates.
- Getting the jet to you
- When the closest fitting aircraft is based somewhere else, flying it to your departure airport can add time. We look for jets already nearby to keep that small.
- Crew overnights and wait time
- When the crew stays over on a multi-day trip, lodging and daily crew charges are added. A same-day out and back keeps things simpler.
- Airport and FBO charges
- Landing, parking and handling cost more at busy airports and some FBOs. Using a smaller nearby field can sometimes bring the total down.
- Travel dates and demand
- Fewer jets are open on holiday weekends and big event dates. Booking sooner leaves more aircraft to pick from.
Questions about midsize jet charter
Something not covered here? (317) 316-8720
What is the seating capacity of a midsize jet?
Seven to nine seats is typical, depending on the model and layout. A full cabin leaves less room for bags, so let us know about luggage early and we will pick the aircraft to match.
Is the cabin tall enough to stand?
Many midsize cabins let you walk the aisle with a slight bend, but not stand straight. If full headroom is important, a super-midsize or heavy jet suits you better, and we can price both.
What is a midsize jet's nonstop range?
Roughly four to five hours of flying, depending on the model, the load and the wind. That reaches most of the continental US nonstop from the Indianapolis area, although a winter flight west to the far West Coast may need a short fuel stop.
Should I pay for a midsize jet instead of a light jet?
A light jet often makes more sense for a short flight with a few people. The bigger midsize cabin pays off on longer trips, with bigger groups or with lots of luggage. We give you a straight answer on which your trip calls for.
Is there a sign-up before booking?
No. Nothing to join and no long term commitments. Every trip is booked and priced by itself.
Who is flying the plane?
The pilots and the maintenance come from the air carrier listed on your quote. We set up the trip, pick the right jet for your group and remain your contact, and the operator does the flying.
