Super-Midsize Jet Charter From Beech Grove
With a super-midsize jet you get headroom to stand, seats for eight or nine people and the range to fly to either coast nonstop. We explain how that plays out on your trip and then quote it point to point.
What a super-midsize jet is, in simple terms
Super-midsize jets sit above midsize jets and below the large-cabin heavy jets. Familiar names include the Challenger 300 and 350, the Citation Longitude, the Gulfstream G280 and the Praetor 600. Most seat eight to ten, have a flat floor with roughly six feet of headroom and can fly from central Indiana to Los Angeles, Seattle or Miami nonstop.
This class earns its place on long trips, with full groups, or when both apply. If four people are flying less than two hours, a light jet or midsize jet does the job for less, and we will tell you. If you are crossing an ocean, a heavy jet is the better fit.
What you get with a super-midsize charter
One price with everything included
The aircraft, flight time, crew, fuel, taxes and airport fees all sit on one quote. You pay the number you approved, and no hidden costs arrive after you land.
Priced point to point
You are charged for the legs you take. One way is priced as one way, and round trip pricing never applies just because the jet must fly back to base.
A cabin made for long flights
Broad reclining leather seats, a full galley for hot and cold food and an enclosed lavatory in the back. On many aircraft in this class, seats convert so you can rest on overnight trips.
Space for serious luggage
The baggage hold is bigger than a midsize jet's, and most models let you get to it from the cabin while flying. Skis, golf bags and sample cases generally go in without trouble.
Wi-Fi and pets
Pets can fly, and we find WIFI equipped aircraft when you need to work during the flight. Mention your dog or cat on the call so we pick an operator that fits.
Part 135 operators
FAA-certified Part 135 air carriers fly every trip we arrange. That is the federal standard for on demand charter carrying paying passengers.

Signs a super-midsize jet suits your trip
- The flight is over three hours
- On longer legs, being able to stand, stretch and walk to the lavatory upright makes a real difference in how you feel on arrival.
- You would need a fuel stop otherwise
- Smaller jets often stop on the way west. A super-midsize can usually fly nonstop, which saves time on the ground and keeps the day predictable.
- Your group is seven or more
- A full team or two families fit comfortably, with space to spread out rather than sitting knee to knee.
- You plan to work on board
- A quieter cabin, a table and onboard Wi-Fi let a team hold a meeting at altitude and land ready.
- There is a lot of baggage
- Long stays, sports gear or equipment for a trade show fill a midsize hold quickly. This class gives you more room.
How we arrange your flight
- 1
A phone conversation
Tell us your dates, departure and destination, how many passengers and any pets or special needs. We ask a few plain questions and explain which aircraft classes make sense.
- 2
Your all-inclusive quote
We compare available super-midsize aircraft and their operators, then walk you through the options and what separates them, such as age of the interior or Wi-Fi coverage.
- 3
Confirmation and details
Once you choose, we confirm the aircraft, crew and FBO. You receive the departure time, the FBO name and what to bring.
- 4
Departure day
Arrive at the FBO, typically around 20 minutes before departure. The crew loads your bags, you board directly from the ramp and the jet leaves when your group is ready.
Where a super-midsize price comes from
An hour in a super-midsize jet costs more than in a smaller class, yet skipping fuel stops and carrying more people often closes much of the difference per seat. Here is what goes into your quote.
- Time in the air
- Most of the price comes from flight hours. Westbound headwinds can make the trip out longer than the trip back.
- The jet's starting point
- Bringing in the closest suitable jet from another airport adds time. Aircraft already around Indianapolis tend to cost less.
- Overnights and days on the ground
- When the crew stays with you for several days, their lodging and daily fees go into the quote. In some cases, two one-way trips come out cheaper.
- Travel dates and demand
- Fewer aircraft are free on holiday weekends and during big events. Booking sooner leaves more jets to pick from.
- Catering and add-ons
- Special meals, ground transportation where you land and requests for a particular aircraft each get their own line.
Common super-midsize questions
- How many passengers does a super-midsize jet seat?
- Eight or nine fit comfortably in most, and a few layouts hold ten. The number varies with the aircraft and how it is set up, and we confirm seats before you book.
- Can it get from Indianapolis to the West Coast nonstop?
- Usually, yes. Range can shrink with a full cabin, lots of baggage or strong winter headwinds, and the operator decides the fuel plan. If a stop looks likely, we tell you in advance.
- What sets it apart from a midsize jet?
- You usually get a taller, wider cabin with a flat floor, a bigger baggage area and clearly more range. On shorter trips a midsize jet is often plenty, and we lay out both fairly.
- Who flies the jet?
- The operator booked for your trip provides the aircraft and pilots and is responsible for the flight. We set up the charter, compare operators and take care of the details, from the FBO to the catering.
- How fast can you set up a flight?
- Our phone is answered 24/7, and on demand flights can sometimes be arranged at short notice if an aircraft is available. The earlier you book, the more options you have.
- Is there anything to join?
- No. You do not join anything, and there are no long term commitments. Each trip is booked and paid for on its own.
